Emperor Qianlong (1711-1799) was the emperor who enjoyed the longest life by living up to 89 years old and also the one who stayed the longest time in throne power. During his ruling period, China has achieved the greatest success and prosperity since Tang Dynasty. The sculpture "Emperor Qianlong Inspecting the Troops" was reproduced and redesigned according to the imperial painting by Giuseppe Castiglione together with numerous references and collections of Imperial Palace Treasures. The whole sculpture was done by a few years hard work and its craftsmanship achieved the highest level. It was awarded the gold medal in the 4th Beijing Tourism Souvenir Design Contest, gold medal of China (Wuhu) International Tourism Commodities Exposition and China Craftsman Award. The Sculptures of Emperor Qianlong Inspecting the Troops were launched with limited editions. The No. 0001 was collected by the Palace Museum and the No. 0079 was offered to Indian Prime Minister Vajpayee.
