The Painting of Auspicious Cereals was painted by the court painter Giuseppe Castiglione in Yongzheng Period, Qing dynasty. The emperor Yongzheng specifically issued an imperial edict for the painting, to see it as a sign of propitious and also put a stamp of “Respect the god and service the people” on it.
