Millennium Dragon Plate

Dragon is the totem of Chinese nation and also the symbol of status. The Millennium Dragon Plate is inspired by the ceiling well of imperial architecture and designed with nine small dragons surrounding a large dragon which symbolizes the unity of the Chinese people. The large dragon itself blesses the Chinese people, taking us into a more wonderful new century.

The dragon plate is cast by kirksite. The dragons are made by 24 carat gold, while the clouds are rare metal pure palladium, with a background of court blue enamel. Dignified and magnificent, the plate symbolizes the brilliant past and prosperous future of the Chinese people, and has a high aesthetic and collection value.

Millennium Dragon Plate was issued with limited editions. The Palace Museum has collected No. 0001 and No. 0012 was offered to Russian President Putin. 

Millennium Dragon Plate won the Excellence Award on the Third Beijing Tourism Souvenir Design Competition.
